Chugach School District began a correspondence program in the 1980s to offer education for students residing in remote locations inside our district boundaries. At that time the advisory teacher traveled by boat, plane, and snowshoes to visit our families and provide support, materials, assessments, and encouragement. Today FOCUS Homeschool serves students and families throughout the State of Alaska and has 4 primary locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Valdez, and the developing Mat-Su branch.
