We have a fun-filled week of activities planned for our students, and are excited to take this first few days to get reacquainted with them. It's going to be an amazing year!
***Please join us for a Community Back-to-School Potluck at 5:00 p.m on Friday, August 25. Bring a dish to share or just bring your presence.***
We sold out! All the students and staff of Chenega School want to thank the village of Chenega and the people at the AFK hatchery for all their support. We sold out in 31 minutes and raised $400! One household did not want any ice cream, but gave a donation of $50!!
Enjoy your ice cream!!
Last week, the Chenega Youth Coalition (CYC) learned how to filet and can fish with Gail Evanoff. And oh, was it good!
The Chenega Elementary students built a human-sized raft over the last two days and tested it out today. They had made smaller, toy boats earlier in the year and we all decided we wanted to try and make something that would hold a person. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. Our first design worked, but we hope to improve on it in the spring.
And thank you to Mrs. Sullivan who helped work with the students so they could build this!
Thanks Terri, it smells so good! What a fun start to Autumn!
